STORY LINE
Alicia defends the son of former friends, who have ostracized her since the scandal, on a charge of felony murder...

[KENNY] 17 or 18, this recent high school drop-out is the son of Alicia's wealthy former friends, who have completely ostracized Alicia since the scandal. Caught between his alienated and shallow parents, Kenny was once a promising and happy Boy Scout, but has turned into a tough, directionless drug user. However, when he's charged with felony murder, the frightened kid underneath finally surfaces. Vehemently protesting his innocence, he asks Alicia to defend him -- but the evidence is stacking up and the case looks hopeless -- for now...GUEST STAR (5)

[LAUREN] 38-45, this attractive, wealthy society woman was once Alicia's close friend, but Lauren cut all ties with Alicia after her husband's conviction. Shocked when her son Kenny is charged with felony murder, Lauren is leery of the fact that Kenny has asked Alicia to defend him. A "prop wife," Lauren is forced to take a back seat while her domineering husband, Richard, makes all the decisions regarding Kenny's defense. Lauren is truly agonized over Kenny's plight, but she's all about appearances, failing to even make an appearance at Kenny's trial for fear of the resulting scandal...GUEST STAR (9)

[RICHARD] 45-50, Kenny's father, he's a wealthy, domineering master of the universe who runs the show, while his "prop wife," Lauren, remains silent and in the background. Even though he is upset about Kenny's arrest, Richard is more concerned with the scandal hurting his good name than he is in Kenny's welfare. Needless to say, his marriage is largely a shallow sham, but as long as things look good from the outside, Richard's satisfied...GUEST STAR (16)

[LISA] 28-31, this sexy, bright, confident ASA is prosecuting Kenny for felony murder. She engages in a heated flirtation with Cary, her courtroom rival, whom she finds devastatingly attractive. However, after she gets a double-barrel of Cary's conniving courtroom tactics, she's not so charmed...GUEST STAR (18) POSSIBLY RECURRING.

[JUDGE HILDA J.] This tough, sharp, no-nonsense African American jurist in her late 40s to late 50s "can smell fear -- particularly on young lawyers." The judge at Kenny's murder trial, she subjects Cary to her withering sarcasm at frequent intervals. However, when Alicia introduces important new evidence, the good Judge turns her ire on the State for trumping up a capital case without sufficient investigation...GUEST STAR (41)

[BRIAN] 17 or 18, this young tough is Kenny's best friend, who has been nothing but a bad influence on Kenny. In frequent trouble with the law, the volatile Brian cops a plea bargain in the felony murder case, lying through his teeth on the witness stand to incriminate Kenny and save himself. But thanks to Alicia's investigative work, his tactics may yet backfire...GUEST STAR (18)

[EARL] Spencer's father, this well-to-do man in his 50s is absolutely furious to learn that his son has admitted he gave permission to Kenny and Brian to enter his house for drugs. He threatens to sue Alicia and Kalinda if they come within a hundred feet of his son again...CO-STAR (38)
