The NB kiss is so Chucks nightmare!

I think that because they spent so much more time filming the cb scene, plus there was a guy giving instructions to leighton and ed and i think they were gonna to shoot again... why would they care and why would they give them instructions if it was a foiler? and there are pictures of leighton and ed researching but there arent pictures of l and chace researching. plus the nb scene was so short.

What's so funny is the director was really taking the time with EL and telling them what they needed to do and Leighton (in other vids) is excited and seems to really want to hit the CB scenes.Plus, it looks like they had several takes. I completely agree, after seeing this I'm even MORE convinced that NB was done for show. The director wasn't talking to them and making sure the scene was perfect, they wrapped quickly and walked away - also Leighton's reaction is perfect. NB is completely a foiler.
It has to be fake (NB that is) there kissing next to the limo, thats a sacred place...tut tut, lol.
Now seriously, it looks like the NB's fake, it makes sense that Chuck is waiting for her by the limo, makes no sense that Nate is waiting for her by the limo...and yeah, its the same limo in both shots...How would that work lol? Unless NC have reignited there bromance.

why would the director give instructions to leighton and ed if the cb's scene was fake? and you can see that they shoot the cb's scene several time... and I dont think the bouquet and gifts are over the top... chuck has tried to give blair's flowers several times: when he was going to tuscany with her but then amelia showed up and he trew the flowers away, when blair was arriving from tuscany, she saw the flowers but didnt grab them and in the elevator scene, when blair took the flowers but then trow it back... and the gifts, well, chuck's a billionaire, of course he will spoil blair as much as he can
You dont find it 'off' that Leighton just seems to be giggling the whole time she's kissing Chase? At first she's like 'OMG hi!' flappy arms, lets make out? The CB kiss actually seems very CB to me. There kisses are never really suttle. And why would they be careful to get the same flowers Chuck had in the CB elevator scene?

There's no need to throw us off with CB because of NB. Everyone already knows NB are hooking up anyways. They're deffo throwing us off with the NB kiss though. First - It looks fake and just improvised. Second - To cover that CB are finally getting together. Simply so we won't know yet. This is a HUGE spoiler, that's why they have to throw us off.
CB kiss too cheesy? Only cheesy in a good way. Who said they can't be happy together? The kiss is adoroble! They've missed each other.
They wouldn't waste so much film and do it over and over again with CB. They kiss for ages and you can see it's a real scene.
With NB it's just.."well, hello!", then kiss. then bye. it's just wired. Plus, we haven't seen any other NB kissing pictures since like the Nate giving her flowers, kiss. And now all of a sudden they kiss? Idk, I don't believe it.

If either of the two are a trick...I believe it's the CB kiss. Blair is dating Nate, why would she suddenly be kissing Chuck? My guess is that the writers/producers are aware that some fans online have been crying about CB and threatening to stop writing. The producers put that kiss in to trick these particular fans.

Actually she was smiling when she was kissing Chuck, she was full out laughing when she kissed Chase/Nate. And some people? Alot of people hated the NBC love triangle. If they put the kiss in to trick fans thats a big old slap in the face to one of there biggest fan bases and alot of people would be more p'd off than they are now.
she doesn't look happy at all to see Chuck at the beginning (but she is when she sees Nate), but Blair is like Gaby in DH, some gifts and all is forgiven...

Dude I love that some of you have said that the "limo" is a Chair thing. It makes me so proud to be a Chair shipper! I'm just happy there are Chuck/Blair scenes to begin with so I could care less about Nate being in the picture. Although from the start I thought the whole CB/NB kiss was a foiler (NB=fake). I am not saying that because I am a fan of Chair either...I am just assuming (and praying). CB <3 :)
I definitely want C/B to be real, because I'd love to see Blair have a fairytale moment with Chuck. It's not at all weird to me that Chuck would romance her with flowers and gifts; as others have said, he's brought her flowers AND gifts (diamond necklace, anyone?) before, so both at the same time wouldn't be weird. I know that a relationship between them wouldn't be all flowers and presents, so I want to see them have this happy moment together. Still, I am not getting my hopes up about this at all. I do not trust JS as far as I could throw him, and I'm sure that's not very far. I hope he would not screw us over in this way, but I don't KNOW that he wouldn't. And even if C/B do get together before or during the finale, I'm afraid something will rip them apart YET AGAIN. I will not believe any of this unless I hear or see something more concrete.

This is why.....
In the beginning of the C/B Blair gets that looks she usaully gets around Chuck the "what the heck is he doing here look." Chuck says something and shows Blair the flowers, and she looks at him before quirking her eyebrow. Then she shows that she has a present and....BAM kissing scene. Which is actually kinda weird if you think about it...but, whatever.
Then there is the N/B scene ...
Nate is standing against a limo(does he even have a limo to begin with?) and Blair comes up, with a big goofy grin on her face. They say stuff, and then BAM kiss.
Which one seems more real to you?
Plus with the C/B kiss the director is talking and giving them feedback and with the N/B kiss they just walk away after it's over.
So seriously, NB fans, there's no hope. Enjoy the time Nair has together in upcoming episodes and stop raining down on the Chair fans parade.

I love CB actually, but we need some major spadework on his part to get Blair back, some psychological explanation for the nanny escapade that is not "he really did care about her more than Blair", and some acknowledgement that he has done a lot to hurt Blair this season before I get too excited.

I wish I could just fast forward through all the Carter, Nair, and CV crap to get to Chair! This journey has been quite painful to endure. At least Chuck & Blair are worth it...
I think the Nair episodes will be a lot about Chair actually. And a lot about Chuck and Nate which I think will be great. There will be B & C interactions, just no makeouts, which I am most happy with. I don't want her falling for his lines for a while.

21.16, honestly, I was a very avid CB shipper too. And while I do not think Blair's been all innocent in all of this, Chuck has simply done too much crap for me to continue to ship CB. It's like everytime, they are nearing each other, he pulls some crap which distances them again. In 1x10, he schemed, it backfired. In 1x18, Blair forgives him for calling her a horse/slut and he abandons her in Tuscany. In 2x07, he turns the table and wants "more", meaning that she needs to say ILY, but doesn't say it himself. He wants her to put her heart on the line - once again - without even daring to do it himself. 2x13-15, Bart dies and he pushes her away. That is the one place where I don't blame him, because he's obviously hurting over Bart's death. But then in 2x16, he once again treats Blair like crap. And instead of actually trying to win her back, he follows a hooker around and makes puppy eyes at her? Only after she dumps him, does he realize that there's also Blair? She's the second choice after a hooker? After everything, they've been though, everything she's done for him, like saving his life? I'm too much of a Blair fan to want her with a guy like that.
22:53, I completely agree with you. And a week ago I was full board off the Chair ship for forever. Of course, I fanwanked in my brain a series of events that could make them great again for me...but first and foremost would be
1. Explanation of the nanny and how it was NOT ABOUT HER. I don't mean some fans' apologia for Chuck. I mean in the text *and* acting discussion of what the hell that was about. And if it really was infatuation, I'm back off. The only way Chuck/Blair works for me is if Blair is really his one and only, because the darkness inherent in him and the pain he will cause Blair if they are involved needs this redeeming factor. It's a big part of what made Season 1 Chair so awesome.
2. Blair having some recovery time with Nate or alone, without being judged for it. An acknowledgement of how destroyed she's been, and at least a glimpse of another path for her. When she falls in love, she's all about the inevitability and 'at all costs' of it, and I just want some consideration from her that she doesn't have to continue with Chuck.
3. Chuck having to work for it and be thwarted. And Chuck being absolutely focused on Blair for the rest of the season, and not having his side flirtations, no sidelong glances. No other chicks. He can be angry, manipulative, scheming--I hope he will, he's Chuck Bass. But this not caring about Blair has to absolutely stop.
4. Blair has to find out about the nanny.
If all this stuff is met by the season finale, I'm back on board. With the way this season has been written, this is about the longest shot of all, of course.
Anything that could get you back on board?
Look, I'm more receptive to Nair than most. But it has no legs.
Chuck and Blair has basically been hinted at since the beginning. I can't think of a single social gathering in which they didn't wear matching outfits. And during all of the sweet CB scenes...there is also some sort of sensual music to further hype the scene.
I agree with the above two posters. I'm not as demanding as them, but I agree that Chuck needs to "earn" his way back into having a chance with Blair. He blew it. I know the Vanessa thing is coming. And that will likely push Nate and Blair together. I don't want to see Chuck with any girls after that for the remainder of the season.
On the other hand, I don't think Chuck owes any explanations about the nanny. I think the nanny was intriguing to him. He was infatuated and interested in finding the connection to Bart. He wasn't with Blair when that occurred. Blair is about to have sex with Carter. (For these same reasons...I don't think Jack is a big deal either. If Blair had sex with him...so what? Chuck has had several partners since then as well.)
23.53, you know, once a CB fan, you'll always carry some kind of torch for them - always hoping somewhere, deep down, maybe, they can be awesome again. So yeah, I do have a tiny bit of hope left that the writers can someway make me root for CB again. But I gotta say, that hope is very, very small. I really loved all the points you made, esp. no. 1. Despite my bitter feelings for Chuck right now, had he not behaved like a little b*tch in 2x16 and "fallen" for Elle without even acknowledging his feelings for Blair, I wouldn't have been this turned off by the idea of CB again. So that for me is one of the very crucial points, that needs to be rectified. And yes, I do not care for any fan-wanking fantasies. It NEEDS to be crystal clear in the actual show, that this Elle thing was about all about Blair. That he was in fact projecting his feelings for Blair to another person. But lets be honest, with how the show's being written these days, the chance of it happening is extremely small. And even if they do rectify the Elle situation, I am not sure I'll get over Chuck plotting with V to make Blair jealous! Because it would mean that he still haven't grasped that love isn't something you play and manipulate with.

I disagree. I don't believe that Blair needs to know nor that Chuck needs to explain or apologize for it to her. However, it needs to be made clear to the audience that the Elle thing was about Blair. I don't buy that he was merely intrigued by her connection to Bart. He was going to Brazil with her! He made it clear made times, that he was at the very least infatuated with her. Right now, it pretty much looks like Blair is his second chance!
I'm not a NB fan, but I'm quite receptive to NB because of one reason. I hope they get closure. And then I hope that NB will never happen again.
Oh yeah, N&B is so fake. I agree with everyone. She's like "hey" how are ya, and he's all standing in the same space Chuck is standing in. It' s almost like Nate is Ed's standin or something...

The nanny storyline was unbelievably offensive wasn't it? Every single line and acting choice in it seemed deliberately crafted to set up Blair as second best. Chilling. The pacing, the set-up, how desperate Chuck was to offer her everything while Blair had been forced to beg for anything from Chuck all season long. Multiple times literally begging. The look on Chuck's face when he sits in Blair's house...*shudder*. It was, to me, a look I've seen on his face too often this year--a smug that he knows that no matter what he does, he can always get her back if he tries. That as much as anything is what I want to see wiped off his face. I want him to get that he may never get her back.
The reason I want Blair to find out (through Carter or Nate) is I want her to know just how willing Chuck was to just take off with a girl like Blair was nothing. I want her to see not only how Chuck has treated her, but be able to compare it to that. Before she makes any decision on going back with him, I want her to know it all.
I have hopes (vain, most likely) that a discussion of the nanny thing might come out in a Nate/Chuck argument, but if it is not addressed, I can never ship CB again.
Anyways, I loved having this discussion with you, and I agree...my chances of being able to get back on board are slim.

I do understand your argument for wanted Blair to know it all. You have an excellent point. The Nanny/Elle SL was incredibly insulting to everything CB. I was literally WTF every single time Chuck was chasing her around, trying to "save" her. I DID NOT get it at all. Like you so eloquently said: Why is he giving so freely everything, Blair had to beg for and more to this woman he's know for very little time? Where are his commitment phobias, his daddy issues and so on? The Elle SL demonstrated one thing: For the right woman, Chuck can commit, can demonstrate his affections through other methods than mind games. So what does that say about CB? What does that not tell us about how he really feels about Blair? And that's exactly why I jumped off the CB ship.
I have to confess that I didn't notice the look on his face while he was waiting for Blair. Truthfully, I was just celebrating that Blair was out getting some while he was sitting and waiting for her. I'll have to rewatch the episode and see what you mean.
Ideally, Blair would find out about Elle and it would weigh in her decision to get back together with him or not. Unfortunately, I feel that it isn't something that will come up again. Or at least, not in a way that will affect Blair. I fear that it will be forgotten, just like how easily it was forgotten how Chuck called her a slut after taking her virginity.

Btw. What do you feel about him scheming with V? I noticed in your third point, you said no other chicks. But then you said, you'll like him to scheme. I don't mind him scheming - to a certain extent. I feel like all CB has done with each other are crazy mind games which have only backfired in their face. That's why, I have no wishes to see more elaborate schemes, where they sabotage each other. It comes to a point where, the destruction takes up more room than the love, and then we have a destructive relationship, not a healthy one. And then, I don't think it's any different than NB - except worse. Because at least Nate never tried to intentionally hurt Blair.

I agree. There is no way that they will have Blair find out about the nanny. I bet it's never mentioned again, especially as it has been widely reviled as "the worst plot ever" and "worse than the recession". The only thing I took sick pleasure about in it was how BAD the acting was throughout.
Oh...scheming with V? OK. Let me give some back story. To me, V is like the worst character ever created and she was involved in, to me, the biggest destruction of CB pre-nanny which was "Chuck in Real Life". My hatred of V stems from a million different things, but it's not protectiveness over Blair. I hated V when she first arrived and was interfering with Serena and Dan, and believe me there are very very few things in the world that I care less about than Serena and Dan. So, I won't bore you but to me V encapsulates the dumb, the bad and the trite about GG. ( I will be very happy to go on about exactly why in excruciating detail at any time. :P)
So, Chuck is going to scheme with her, I figure to humiliate Blair because his one signature move has become to take everything away from Blair and destroy her self esteem. He used to do it because he figured that was the only way he could have her, now he apparently does it because he enjoys it as far as I can tell. So, he'll both be trying to suggest that both he and Nate would rather have Vanessa through this scheme. This is *after* he sees her fall apart in the ep before. THIS IS ONE OF THE CRUELEST THINGS HE COULD DO but so freaking in character.
So, I kind of love it, partly because it is in character which is of utmost importance to me, and partly because I have a regrettable tendency to fanwank, and I have created a scenario for the ep as follows.
Blair and Nate are friends.
Chuck decides that they are more and decides to plot with V.
Blair who really has become masochistic about this ends up making out with him (based on the promo of the girl on the bed--I don't want it to happen).
Nate is PISSED about Vanessa.
Vanessa goes crying to him and giving up the scheme because she always screws schemes up, telling that she was just helping Chuck destroy Blair, and wanted to make Nate jealous.
Nate flips out, goes charging in the room where Blair and Chuck are.
Vanessa chases after, spilling the beans or Nate does.
Blair finally understands how toxic this dynamic is, and how willing he is to hurt her.
Blair quietly tells Chuck off, or just leaves.
When Chuck goes to chase after her, Nate stops him. He can just physically stop him, punch in the face, I don't care. Nate's choice!
Nate tells Chuck and Vanessa they're disgusting and leaves.
Vanessa whines to Chuck: But you said this would get me Nate back.
Chuck: You're stupid. What did you think Nate would do when he saw you hook up with me? He hates that. You should have seen how he acted when Blair did it.
Vanessa: But you tricked me! But I am the only one who has seen your soul and your secret gooey center. Remember? You're a good person deep down.
CHuck: Y'know? I'm really not. Catch up. Ask your pal, Little J.
Chuck goes to Blair's penthouse.
Blair calls security.
Nate and Blair kiss at duck pond.
Of course, I know none of this is going to happen, but it would be sweet.
I don't want Chuck not to scheme here, because I would find that out of character. I want his scheming to backfire on him, and I want him to learn new ways of being 'Chuck Bass' and use his skills to achieve his aims without destroying Blair's psyche.
Y'know, Chuck is the Nate of season 1 of the NBC dynamic. The guy who prefers other women over her, who neglects her, who is casually cruel. Except Chuck knows what he's doing.

NB is sooo fake! The CB kiss is so real! Anyway, it gets really annoying when all of just have to state our case. I always like to wait and see what happens. And I really do think that the script (that some of you had no time to read) is true, so if you didn't read it then you'll get all the evidence you'll need.
