A TERRIFYING HOSTAGE SITUATION PUTS THE WHOLE SQUAD ON ALERT, BUT SAM TYLER DISCOVERS THAT HE ESPECIALLY IS ON THE CLOCK, ON ABC'S "LIFE ON MARS"

Tony Award Winner Bill Irwin and Lisa Bonet Guest Star

"Tuesday's Dead" - Sam Tyler finds it difficult to separate a life-and-death hostage situation taking place at County Hospital from his own strange circumstances. Stressed about a phone call where he seems to hear his mother's voice -- in 2008 -- begging him to wake up, he and the rest of the squad are ordered to diffuse a potentially explosive face-off in which a crazed gunman is trying to force a doctor to reverse a dangerous operation on the renegade's brother. Sam, Ray, Annie and Lt. Hunt are all targeted in the madman's cross hairs, but as Sam and the 1-2-5 attempt to resolve the confrontation, he suddenly realizes that the clock ticking on the gunman's demands parallels another deadline that could spell the end of Sam Tyler, on "Life on Mars," THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 13 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Life on Mars" stars Jason O'Mara as Detective Sam Tyler, Harvey Keitel as Lieutenant Gene Hunt, Michael Imperioli as Detective Ray Carling, Gretchen Mol as Annie Norris and Jonathan Murphy as Detective Chris Skelton.

Guest starring are Lisa Bonet as Maya Daniels, Bill Irwin as Dr. Schwahn, Brad William Henke as Michael H, the hostage taker, Stephen James King as Johnny H, Carmen Goodine as Erica, John Wernke as orderly, Grant Aleksander as soap opera doctor, Elizabeth Hubbard as Sam's soap opera mother, Alicia Minshew as soap opera nurse, Jennifer Ferrin as Rose Tyler, John Cenatiempo as Sizable Ted, Brian McCormack as unit commander, Michael Mulheren as sergeant and Marcella Lowery as nurse.

"Tuesday's Dead" was written by Adele Lim and directed by Dan Minahan.
